Motivate Media is the oldest and largest book publisher in the UAE and we are looking for brilliant Sales Manager to join our team of book publishing and art gallery experts.
Responsible for growing book sales and revenue from our online art gallery, The Arabian Gallery, the ideal candidate will have an entrepreneur’s mindset for generating new business and a star quality for telling the stories of our books and artists to the UAE’s citizens and growing number of residents.
The successful candidate must have a stellar track record in initiating, negotiating and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Motivate Books
- Responsible for increasing the Bulk Sales of books and prints to corporate and government sectors in the UAE.
- Utlising AI to support the identification of potential new customers.
- Develop new customers in the private and public sector.
- Follow up leads with regular sales calls and in person meetings and develop and maintain relationships for future product sales.
- Manage monthly and annual revenue budgets of sales of bulk book orders to government and private clients.
- Work with the books editorial team to produce the relevant bulk sales material to support pitches for bulk sales orders.
- Plan targeted sales campaigns for new book releases to new and existing clients.
- Work with teams across Motivate Media magazine titles to deliver bulk order to existing and new clients.
- Identify new corporate customers through various channels to sell bulk quantities of new and backlist titles.
- Ensure clients receive notification regarding new publications, promotions, and special offers.
- Ensure that client payments are invoiced and paid on time.
- Ensure accurate invoicing of orders and monitor payments by liaising with the credit control department.
- Ensure timely delivery of orders to clients.
- Monitor stock levels by liaising with the Warehousing department.
- Produce monthly reports detailing sales achievement, sales pipeline and customer buying/industry trends.
- Update the company CRM system (Salesforce) on a daily basis to keep a record of meetings, leads, deals etc to ensure that monthly billing is accurately recorded.
The Arabian Gallery
- Plan, manage and achieve monthly and annual revenue budgets.
- Maintain and improve the physical and online visibility of the individual artists represented by The Arabian Gallery as well generate sales of legacy clients – e.g. Sir Wilfred Thesiger.
- Update the company CRM system (Salesforce) on a daily basis to keep a record of meetings, leads, deals etc to ensure that monthly billing is accurately recorded.
- Seek out commercial collaborations with art galleries and art fairs to maximise sales of the artists represented by The Arabian Gallery.
- Seek out commercial opportunities with government and private partnerships (e.g. hotels, restaurants) to sell artwork represented by The Arabian Gallery.
- Attending art fairs, exhibitions to network and generate leads.
- Devise and implement marketing strategies for The Arabian Gallery website to increase sales of our existing inventory and increase database of new potential customers.
- Monitor customer queries through The Arabian Gallery website on a daily basis and respond accordingly.
- Organizing and promoting exhibits and art installations, developing, and maintaining relationships with artists and client.
- Updating acquisition catalogue, sales records, and client database.
- Attend to general administration, accounts, marketing requirements.
- Ensure that customer orders are processed and delivered swiftly and customer payments have been processed and recorded accurately on Salesforce.
- Ensure that artist client payments are paid on time.
Prerequisites:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven cold calling and lead generation skills.
- An excellent understanding and demonstrable experience of using AI as a tool to generate leads.
- Demonstrable negotiation skills with the ability to adapt to changing client requirements.
- Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated.
- An interest in books, the arts and the history and culture of the UAE.
- The ability to take the books and art works and tell a story about them to potential customers.
- Good understanding of Motivates books and art catalogue.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and sales automation tools.
- Knowledge of UAE target market and customer profiles.
- Persistent, resilient, and goal-oriented.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical skills to assess sales data and refine approaches.
- Flexibility to adapt to different customer needs and objections.
